The Polish economy remained the only one in the European Union to be left unscathed by the recession in 2009 and the economy developed better than expected in 2010 – the gross domestic product probably amounted to approx. 4 per cent. The prognoses according to which economic growth in Poland will be maintained at the same level this year and in the following years are also positive. The good economic situation will exert a positive influence on the conjuncture in the building sector and all relevant activities. Favourable for the building indus - try is also the implementation of infrastructure projects planned in the next few years, which are financed from EU funds and are partly connected with the 2012 European Football Championships in Poland.
