This series of articles, which has appeared since the 3-2008 issue of CPI, is intended to illustrate the requirements resulting from the EU directives and their consequences, not only for the concrete and precast industry against the background of discussions on the reduction of burocracy, deregulation and modernisation as well as the streamlining of regulations in Europe and Germany, but also for the associated greater responsibility of the entrepreneur for health and safety at work. The fifth part of this series, in this issue of CPI, is concerned with mechanical hazards in the concrete and precast parts industry.
