Rivers in Japan are characterized by considerably steep gradients and flows. In addition, due to recent climate change, flooding and torrential downpours occur frequently. They highly evolved the blocks used for revetment and various functions are developed and added to these blocks. In this issue, “Furusato”, which have advantages of both construction efficiency and environmental function, will be introduced.
