At the outcome of the 20th BIBM Congress in Cannes (16-17 June 2011), Patrick Declerck (CEO of Decomo – PST Group, Belgium) succeeds Pierre Brousse (CEO of Consolis) at the head of BIBM, the European Federation for Precast Concrete for the period 2011-2014. The election of a Belgian president takes place exactly 30 years after Raf Bulke took the same charge in 1981-1984. One does not have to forget the importance of the sector of which BIBM is the European voice: 200.000 workers in more than 8.000 plants around Europe with total sales of more than 30 Billion euros. This is probably the biggest sector in terms of turnover within the construction material industry.
