In Pfungstadt in South Hessen in Germany, a prestressed, precast concrete bridge made from high performance concrete C70/85 was constructed for the first time. The geometric constraints of the gradients, with requirements for the largest possible degree of slenderness and low superstructure height, as well as a desire for long durability, were the deciding factors for the properties of the precast concrete parts.
