The Dutch precast concrete industry is one of the largest in the construction industry. A total of 150 precast concrete companies are members of the BFBN, the Dutch Association of Precast Concrete Manufacturers. The sector associations for structural precast concrete products within the BFBN are: BELTON for structural elements, BEVLON for flooring systems and PREPAL for foundation piles. Each sector is responsible for the technical and promotional aspects of their products. A total of about 50% of all concrete produced annually in the Netherlands is precast concrete.
