Just 16 years ago this summer, the ConShield anti-microbial additive was used in a major repair project of large diameter brick sewer lines in the City of Atlanta. The combined storm and sanitary sewer lines under the City were built of brick and mortar before the Second World War and its pipes were badly deteriorated. As Atlanta’s population grew, more sanitary sewerage than storm water runoff filled the lines and the MIC decay process grew worse.
