Concrete Demonstrates Immunity to Microbiologically Induced Corrosion

CERATECH USA Inc., Alexandria, VA, 22311, USA

Research confirms CeraTech USA’s durable and “green” cement for concrete has an inherent immunity to sulfuric acid attacks from Microbially Induced Corrosion (MIC). MIC, a widespread problem, is responsible for premature deterioration of portland cement concretes subjected to wastewater exposure. Testing per ASTM C267 confirms the unique attributes of ekkomaxx™ cement, a non-portland cement for concrete, offers inherently higher corrosion resistant and is perfectly suited for ready mixed and precast concrete products exposed to MIC environments.
