A leader in the Spanish precast industry, Grup Pujol recently established their own cement factory and aggregate quarry to guarantee raw material supply. When the business activities of the group consolidated in Spain and further growth in the local industry seemed difficult, Pujol expanded their interest to the British precast industry. The economic crisis underlined Pujol’s interest in expanding their production capacity in Europe as the company’s leaders hold the view that difficult times hold promising potential for the expansion of business acti vities. Based on a long-standing cooperation between Grup Pujol and UK-based Bison, Grup Pujol former decided to purchase Bison’s precast plant in Leeds, the oldest precast factory of the UK, and recover the productive activity of the plant.
