Probably the biggest problem faced by the precast concrete sector in this period is the turndown of the (new) construction activity combined with an increasing pressure on prices. The initiative of revising the rules for public procurement in order to favour the (direct) access and the (indirect) participation and benefits for SMEs is welcomed by the precast concrete industry.
