The International Prestressed Hollowcore Association is a not-for-profit organisation, founded in 1969. The objectives are to promote the use of prestressed hollowcore in the global costruction market. Especially for the members, IPHA is constantly working on technical and marketing arguments to help staying at the forefront of this industry. IPHA member Echo Precast Engineering, at that time working under their former name Echo Engineering, published already in 2009 a brochure called “why hollowcore”. During the 2022 IPHA Annual Conference in Leuven, Belgium, where Echo Precast Engineering was the host of the conference, one of the workshops had to update the booklet “Why Hollow-core?”. And finally, collaboration and teamwork of all IPHA members on this topic were tre-mendous and as a result, IPHA quite recently published a new “Why Hollowcore” booklet.
