Following its company philosophy of acting instead of reacting, developing instead of copying, the company Form + Test from Riedlingen, Germany, has expanded the Alpha 3 testing machine series. A compact machine with a maximum test force of 3,500 kN is now also being produced. This enables testing of cube specimens with edge lengths of 150x150x150 mm with strengths of up to 155 MPa (N/mm2). This model has been specially developed for customers for whom the change from 3,000 kN to 4,000 kN is both too high in terms of cost as well as too large in terms of space.
