The construction sector is currently undergoing a fundamental transformation. Challenges such as high construction costs, a shortage of skilled labour, and the resulting need to significantly increase efficiency in both planning and construction phases shape the daily reality of the industry. At the same time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly developing into a central driver and true gamechanger for the transition toward more efficient, sustainable, and adaptive building. For this reason, digitalBau (24-26 March 2026 in Cologne, Germany) is focussing on the theme “Gamechanger AI - Building for the Future”, showcasing how AI technologies can revolutionize the entire value chain in the construction industry.
