Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC) has been tested and evaluated in North America for over ten years. In some markets and in some regions it has been embraced, in others, it is used on a less regular basis. With this in mind, what is the current acceptance level of SCC in North America? This paper discusses the current state of SCC acceptance and use in North America in light of some of the aspects of the Diffusion of Innovation Theory.
