Vegas Tunnel Constructors, a joint venture with Healy/Impregilo, is the General Contractor for the Lake Tap No. 3 Tunnel Project in Boulder City, Nevada. The tunnel will supply drinking water from the Colorado River into Las Vegas which currently has a population of approximately two million. Lake Mead currently supplies 90% of the drinking water utilized by Southern Nevada, but there have been recent concerns due to the lake’s all-time low water levels. As there are many positive community and environmental aspects of this project, the grand purpose is to provide the people of Las Vegas with a continuous fresh water supply for many years to come.
