You may know BMH Systems as a provider of mobile batch plants for large-scale mining operations, major infrastructure projects and natural resources development sites, but sometimes a little goes a long way. The Montreal-based Axor Construction approached BMH earlier this year for help with building small hydroelectric plants in remote parts of northern Ontario. Its challenge was unique: Axor didn’t need massive quantities of concrete, but rather, just enough for to build small hydroelectric stations capable of pumping out five to 10 MW. But what it did need was an especially mobile batch plant capable of producing quality concrete in the middle of nowhere.
