The manufacture of cubes and beams, the determination of the gross density and the testing of the air entrainment have always been among the most strenuous and back-breaking tasks in the testing of fresh concrete. In recent years the testing methods and the associated use of physical strength have developed in the right direction. One of the last remaining dinosaurs in terms of weight has until now been the testing of the air entrainment of fresh concrete using the classic 8-litre device.
