For a long time now, the civil and industrial building construction sector has been using solid or hollow concrete blocks as an alternative to the industry’s more traditional materials: stone and brick. Stones are not only costly, but also have technical characteristics that at times are inhomogeneous due to quarry and rock veining aspects. Bricks, although relatively more homogeneous due to the fact that they are man-made, do not allow for a wide range of chromatic and texture features. Conversely, concrete blocks are artificial elements with dimensions, particle size, surface texture, colour, breathability and water absorption characteristics that can be precisely predefined by the manufacturer according to the characteristics required by the market.
