Altcom AG is one of the construction industry’s leading companies in the Ukraine with more than 30,000 employees. Amongst its subsidiaries is Telmanowski Karier, which is located in the Donetsk region and operates an enormous quarry. The enterprise produces granite and highclass finished granite products for various applications, such as natural stone floor coverings, and these products are sold far beyond the Ukrainian borders. Around 500,000 tonnes of small incidental materials from 0 to 10 mm accrue each year without a clear grading curve. These have to be processed into the highest quality products possible. For this purpose, a new plant for manufacturing concrete products needed to be purchased and contact was made with Rimac Maschinen & Anlagen GmbH from Mauer in Germany. Altcon AG viewed the plants of Rimac customers in England, Switzerland, Austria and Germany as well and tested its own material in the laboratory of the Rimac production facility in Mauer. The Ukrainian company was won over by the excellent end product quality plus the extremely diverse fields of application for the Rimac plants.
