Low growth rates in the volume of construction, heightened rivalry, more expensive raw materials and increased competition from abroad - the German construction industry is facing enormous challenges that cannot be met without efficient synergy between architecture, inno- vative materials, structural engineering, technical building equipment and modern infrastructure.
