According to the usual definitions, high-strength concretes are concretes with compressive strengths > 65 N/mm² and high-performance concrete are highly impermeable concretes with high resistance to physical, chemical or mechanical influences. Structural elements with compressive strengths of around 150 N/mm² have already been realised with the raw materials and processes normally employed in practice. Mortars and concretes with compressive strengths of up to 800 N/mm² are currently under development.
