Filling compensation

Rampf Formen GmbH, 89604 Allmendingen, Germany

In the manufacture of concrete blocks, blocks of the same height and blocks with a homogeneous gross density, which results in homogeneous strength, are important quality criteria. Further requirements for concrete blocks are, of course, perfect block surfaces that represent the later visible surfaces. Any irregularities in the concrete structure and its compaction become evident in particular when the block surfaces are subjected to post-treatment. In order to fulfil these quality criteria, it is important that all mould honeycombs in the lower part of the mould are evenly filled with a homogeneous concrete mass, i.e. that a constant quantity by weight of concrete has been poured into each mould honeycomb. The quantities by weight of the core concrete and the facing concrete are to be added together here.
